HIFU facial

HIFU Facial uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly.

Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage. While this may seem counterintuitive, the damage actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen — a protein that provides structure to the skin.

The increase in collagen results in tighter, firmer skin

Benefits of HIFU Facial

HIFU has many aesthetic benefits, including:

  • wrinkle reduction
  • tightening sagging skin on the neck
  • lifting the cheeks, eyebrows, and eyelids
  • enhancing jawline definition
  • tightening of the décolletage
  • smoothing the skin

HIFU for face procedure

There’s no special preparation needed before having an HIFU procedure. You should remove all makeup and skin care products from the target area before treatment.

Here’s what to expect at your appointment:

  1. A physician or technician first cleans the target area.
  2. They may apply a topical anesthetic cream before starting.
  3. The physician or technician then applies an ultrasound gel.
  4. The HIFU device is placed against the skin.
  5. Using an ultrasound viewer, the physician or technician adjusts the device to the right setting.
  6. Ultrasound energy is then delivered to the target area in short pulses for roughly 30 to 90 minutes.
  7. The device is removed.

What does HIFU treatment involve and are there any side effects?

We use no needles and no toxins as the ultrasound energy triggers a response from the muscles under the skin, jumpstarting the regenerative process that produces fresh, new collagen. Some patients see positive results immediately, whilst others may have to wait for a few weeks as their skin begins to tighten. Temporary side effects include redness and slight facial tenderness.

HIFU Facelift vs. Traditional facelift

The traditional facelift is a cosmetic procedure where a surgeon alters the appearance of patients’ faces.

The aim is to make a face look younger by adjusting and removing parts of the skin and muscle tissue in the face and neck.

Before the procedure starts, the patient is placed under general anaesthetic to numb the pain that is often part of the procedure.

In spite of recent developments in that field, people still “go under the knife” because its results are relatively “permanent.”

That is despite the risks involved in and the possibility of sustaining medical complications and scars that take longer to heal.

Traditional facelifts are also very expensive, and the results are not always natural.

The HIFU Facelift was developed a little over a decade ago.

It involves using ultrasound energy or laser beams to trigger the production of natural collagen in the body.

This production of collagen then makes the skin around the face tighter and more supple.

One of the reasons why it is so popular is that it leverages on the body’s natural resources.

This means that there is no need for surgery and so there is no need for healing and recovery.

In addition, it is a natural procedure, so clients only look like an enhanced version of themselves.
